Over the decades the "East Dorm" has been used to fulfill a wide variety of needs. First it served as the Chapel. When a new meeting room was made available, the East Dorm was renovated to provide housing for summer camps.
While it has served its purpose well, a major renovation is long overdue! Plans have been drawn to gut the interior, replacing the dormitory rooms and group bathrooms with 4 larger rooms. Each of the 4 large rooms would be able to be subdivided providing 8 private units, each with private bathrooms and separate entrances that would be suitable for adult and family use.
Additionally, the building would be winterized making it useable 12 months a year instead of just for the summer. Large porches would allow cabin groups, families, and individuals the perfect place to meet and talk.
