Hey everyone! James here, a mere part-time staffer. The full-time staff is enjoying a well-deserved and much-needed hiatus. But by this weekend they'll be back into full swing, kicking off with the Men's Retreat!
I've been asked to write a brief note letting you in on this summer, primarily because we haven't posted since the beginning of June! But it's true what they say, "no news is good news!" We've been a little too busy to blog, but we've all had the opportunity to watch God do amazing things through our meager efforts! More specifically, 25 campers made a proclamation of faith for the very first time and 49 more let us know they wanted to rededicate their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ! And we have no way of counting all the hundreds of campers that have drawn closer to our heavenly Father in only a week's time! Still, some campers don't know Christ, but we firmly believe that God brought them to Camp Elim for a reason, and just because the summer's over, doesn't mean He's done working!
We've watched our Lord do incredible things this summer, and we also believe He worked through your prayers and support! Please continue to pray for all the campers and staff members that passed through here this summer; that God would continually reveal Himself to them, and that they would all draw closer to Him everyday! Pray also for our full-time staff, as camp ministry is a never-ending, stress-filled mission-field!
