The sun has set on our summer camp season, and it was a great one! The Lord worked in powerful ways in the lives of our campers and staff.
But there's still a lot happening this year! Men's Retreat will be held September 14-16, and you can register here. This year's speaker will be Richard Ellis. You can learn hear him preach now via podcast at richardellistalks.com
Heritage Retreat is a free midweek retreat for campers 50 and older. It's a great time to celebrate God's faithfulness together! Heritage Retreat this year is September 19-20, and you can register for free here.
As of this week, all Campership and Staff Scholarship donations will be matched, up to a total of $15,000, thanks to a very generous matching grant! That means your donation will be doubled!
The Campership Fund exists to ensure no camper has to stay home from Camp Elim for financial reasons. The Staff Scholarship Fund allows us to assist our college-age volunteers who have given up some (or all) of their summer to serve at Camp Elim.
Due to a family emergency, our scheduled speaker for this year's Women's Retreat, Bev DeSalvo, has had to cancel her time with us. Please be praying for Bev and her husband, Gary, as he deals with advanced stages of cancer. We are thankful that Linda Dillow, a close friend of Bev’s and a well-loved speaker at Camp Elim, has agreed to come and minister to the ladies at this year’s retreat.
Linda Dillow lives at the base of the mountains in Colorado. She has been married to Jody for over 50 years. They have 4 children and 10 grandchildren.
Together Linda and Jody have served God in Austria, Hong Kong and the USA. She has written several books including Calm My Anxious Heart, Intimate Issues, Giftwrapped by God, Intimacy Ignited, A Deeper Kind of Calm, Satisfy My Thirsty Soul, Creative Counterpart and What’s it like to Be Married to Me? Because she believes that real transformation comes when we get into God’s Word for ourselves, every book she’s written has a Bible study in the ba...

Last month we added two new team members to the year-round staff! Derick Lehmkuhl will be working in the areas of Spiritual Ministries and Staff Ministries, and Sherry Vargason will be taking Krystan's place as Food Service Supervisor when she leaves at the end of this year. We're very excited to see how God uses each of them at Camp!
Today is Giving Tuesday. There's a lot to get between Black Friday and Cyber Monday... but this Tuesday is a day to GIVE! We hope you will prayerfully consider giving to Camp Elim.
It has been a phenomenal year. Canyon Lodge was completed, as was the Land Exchange. We had the highest attendance in our history with over 1,000 campers, and more than 100 of those campers made new decisions for Christ! In all, we had the privilege of ministering to over 5,000 individuals at Camp Elim this year! We know none of this could not happened without the grace of our God, and the faithful prayers and generous support of our friends. And we still need your help!
Over the past fifteen years, God has raised up a band of over 500 year-end donors that we call the “500 Club!” We would love to have you join this group! If every household reading this committed just $100, our fund-raising needs for operations would be entirely met for the coming year. You can donate towards Camp's general operations onli...
Our Middle School Snowball Camp is filling up fast, but we don't want anyone left out in the cold, so we're changing Winter Wonderland 2 to our first SimulCamp!
SimulCamp is a weekend with two separate and distinct programs running simultaneously: one for grade school campers (grades 3-6) and one for middle school campers (grades 6-8). Housing, chapels, and activities will all be separated by age. For parents with students in both age ranges, that means you only have to make the drive to Camp once this winter!
We are very excited to announce that as of today, October 31st, 2017, we now own the land we have leased for 57 years! Not only do we now own the 16 acres Camp is built on, but also additional land totalling 57 acres! We began looking into the land exchange process 27 years ago, and have been working and praying for this for many years. You may have heard us say (many, many times), "We own the buildings and lease the land," but as of today, we own the buildings and own the land! Praise be to God!
Now that Canyon Lodge has been completed, we are opening up Lodge South to expand the Dining Room! Meanwhile, our staff has grown and our Facilities Manager and his family have moved offsite, so we're moving the administrative office into the Caretaker's Cottage! Both projects are rolling along, but we still need your help! You can give to the Building for Future Generations Capital Campaign at campelim.com/donate
After the Land Exchange and these projects have been completed, we will have fulfilled the entirety of the vision for the Building for Future Generations campaign! Thank you all so, so much for your generosity and for being our partners in this ministry!
Winter Camps will be here before you know it! You can save $5 on each Winter Camp registration when you register and pay in full before January 1st, 2018. Register online today at campelim.com/winter2018
