Granny has gone Home to be with the Lord. She was born on February 3, 1910; born again on October 13, 1958; absent from the body and present with the Lord on January 24, 2012, 10 days before her 102nd birthday.

 

Granny was involved at Camp Elim from 1967 until Labor Day 1989, cooking for most of those years. She retired at age 79 but her heart remained at Camp and would have been there longer had she been physically able. Her last years were spent praying for those she knew and loved.

 

She leaves behind two daughters, four grandchildren and their spouses, 11 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren, and one great great great grandchild.

One of our first summer staff Christmas parties, that I remember, put on here at Camp Elim.  Micah Harrison designed a life-size Clue Board that filled the chapel--from the dining room to the study to the lounge to the conservatory.  It was fabulously created!!!!  And the staff that came didn't disappoint us with their costumes!  They all played their parts well...but poor Mr Black...he welcomed his guests but then was found dead and the game began!  Check out the full picture album on our Facebook site.
